Cool. I have a few books of Finlay and I am always looking at them for inspiration and graphic schooling.

You are a fan too? That's great! I agree, I'm surprised he's not more well known. Even in art school, in my illustration class, no one had heard of him.

For my money he's one of the masters of the Black and White medium, but he just didn't get the wide exposure outside Sci-Fi fandom others have.

And these days, I only find old school sci-fi fans, like my father, know of him.

Whenever I've had to use stipling, I always look at his works to remind myself it is worth it.

It's great to see a Virgil Finlay fan! I was surprised to see that, as not many people seem to know about him.

Well last year I had a photograph in the 14th St. Gallery in Plano, but I haven't had much art exposure. I'm currently working on producing comics to be published in the UTDallas paper (hopefully by Jan.) I haven't heard of the 550X gallery. How does that work?

Hello! While at Lumos I bought a piece of you work ("Holiday") and I just LOVE it. Later on that day though I even had people come up to me and ask if I was you which caused me to start giving very odd looks until I realized "Ph, yea, M=my name's Ani isn't it?" Anyway, very very awesome job and I love the picture!
