| My name is Kathryn Crenshaw, and I've been painting as a hobby with occasional paid benefits for quite a while now. My primary passion is watercolor, and the looser the better. My paintings tend to vary from the whimsical to the bizarre, sometimes intertwining the two. I've also draw watercolor portraits, usually around the holidays, as well as the occasional book covers. I know you're not supposed to admit this if you want to be a "serious" artist, but I also enjoy fan art quite I bit. It’s fun, and when it’s for TV shows it is a bit like creative portraiture. Fanart, for me, is just an extension of illustration, but something I do for my own enjoyment of a series rather than because I'm being paid to illustrate a specific story. It's a nice release, epsecially for those every fun art blocks we all hit. Of course throwing paint at paper is also fun, and sometimes has even more itneresting results! |
